Western Tigers was crowned the Georgetown Football Association Super-8 Champions after defeating Georgetown Football Club (GFC) 2-1 on Sunday evening.
Staged at the GFC ground, Bourda, experienced forward Hubert Pedro bagged a double in the 32nd and 49th minute. For the home side, Daniel Ross scored in the 70th minute.
Meanwhile, the Guyana Defence Force defeated Santos 4-2 in the third-place playoff. Benjamin Opara recorded a hat-trick in the 12th, 41st, and 55th minute, while Sherwyn Caesar added a goal in the 87th minute.
For the losers, Darren Niles and Orin Yarde scored in the 21st and 78th minute respectively.
